Road trip in Hokkaido

Taking a long road trip within Hokkaido towards Asahiyama zoo feels great. I enjoy the ever changing scenery and it always puts my heart at ease.

Whenever, I am on such trips I become a snapping machine. There is always this paranoia that I will never be able to catch the same image again. After hours of snapping and enjoying the car ride, we decided to pull over at the side of the expressway where they were some stores. I was pretty amazed by the selection of food and they even had a park with so many hydrangeas in bloom. The store that really drew the crowd was the ice cream store. I was miles away from reaching Asahiyama zoo but this was as close that I could get to eating some ice cream. Wow! It was creamy, light, smooth and absolutely delicious I could not to sink my taste buds on more of these hokkaido's delicacies.
