Lavender fields in Hokkaido

Photos taken with Canon 500D

The surreal feeling of taking buckets of paints and splashing them across a wide open field was coming to live before my eyes. Colors of rainbow painted the field before disappearing into the lush greenery. It seemed like an endless walk to get a closer look at the flowers but it was a walk, I was more than willing to take. The flowers were beautiful and upright, stretching towards the sun. Sun rays bounced off the petals reflecting the vibrant colors, bedazzling the eyes of many. The smell of the fresh flowers lingered in the air and my nose picked up the scent of lavender more than the others. It tempted me into to getting a lavender ice cream, which appeared in my hands before I knew it. I flushed my mouth with the refreshing flavor of lavender and admired the view atop an elevated platform. The scenery was so amazing it got me rooted into the ground, but my stomach was calling out to me. I finally gave in and responded to the beck and call of my famished stomach.

Exiting the flower fields and walking down the path, there was a store that exuded the aromatic fragrance of curry rice. I was salivating and my search for food was over, curry rice was going to be my next meal. The curry rice really hit the spot, I almost went for seconds. I continued exploring the area and found a pastry shop. The strawberry cake looked really fresh, almost screaming out to me. I ordered myself a cake and savored every last bit.
