21st birthday

I turned 21 on 11 October and I have so many mixed feelings about it. I am happy to be 21 but yet dreading the moment to be over. 

For lunch Ben decided to bring me to Jaan, a restaurant that has been on my wish list for a pretty long time now. I love watching skyscrapers and being 70 stories above ground with food from one of the finest restaurants, was a perfect way to get lunch started.

We both ordered a 5 course set , which ended up more like a buffet. They kept giving complimentary dishes which filled us up even before our main meal, but don't get me wrong it was absolutely delectable. ‪

What I really love about Jaan was their organic eggs cook at a specific temperature of 60 degrees for an hour. The consistency of the eggs are out of this world, the yolk has a warm and runny centre. Also, the deserts at Jaan are has a unique concept and a refreshing flavor you would yearn for more.

jaanjaan The best part of the meal, was receiving a surprise birthday cake after lunch and celebrating my 21st birthday with Ben. The cake had a nice mousse filling and a absolute must have for all chocolate lovers.

This is probably the sweetest birthday I could have.

    Oh my gosh, I can't tell you how much love I've got for this post! The restaurant looks wonderful and I know what you mean about dining multiple stories above ground, it provides a further sense of excitement :) Your purple dress fits you perfectly, it was a wonderful choice for your 21st birthday (which I recently celebrated myself too, by the way)!
