Belmto brooklyn top

The long awaited weekend is finally here and I was really hoping to get some croissants for breakfast. I wore the Brooklyn silk top along with a pair of flare jeans. The Brooklyn silk top was light and airy but for the most part, I really love the ruffles. For a little sophistication, I tie the Vivienne Westwood scarf around my neck before heading to the brawn and brains cafe. I heard that they served up some awesome croissants which got me thrilled.

Their menu was written on a huge chalkboard which made viewing really easy. The cafe had many large windows which allowed good amounts of natural light in, really brightening up the ambience. Everyone seemed real chirpy and delighted with their meals. I took a glance around and everyone had something common on their table, an earl grey glazed croissant.

We had mushroom and chicken wrap for our mains and the earl grey croissant to savour for later. The meal was really gratifying especially with a cup of coffee.

The earl grey glaze was decadent, it almost got me going for seconds. The Brawn and brains cafe truly is an amazing place to hang out and chill. 

Brother bird

Arab Street has been known for having some of Singapore’s best diners and cafes. Well, today I was not here for any of these fancy eateries, just looking for a simple soft serve. I walked leisurely around the area and found Brother Bird. Sure enough, the first thing that is probably in everyone’s mind is Sesame Street and I had the exact same thought too. The café was real cosy and generally a great place to chill. We settled in and had their matcha and cookie butter soft serve which was real good. The toppings complimented the soft serve well. The cookie butter had a great crunch and the matcha ice cream was real authentic, topped with red beans and flour balls. Satisfied, I continued touring the neighbourhood before heading back.

Feeling sunny

The Smell of sea salt lingered in the air and sand particles glistened in the sun. The sand crunched under my feet as I walked to the restaurant deck that overlooked the beach. We got a spaghetti vongole and half a rack of ribs to share. I sipped on the creamy rich clam broth while watching many bath in the sun and play in the water. I eventually got to the half a rack of lamb with Ben which was heavily covered in barbeque seasoning. The food tasted great with the beautiful sight of the sea.

I wore a diariodeunacouturier denim skirt as blue as the sea. The fabric was soft on the skin and I love the copper buttons. It is never too sunny to be by the beach.

Plain Vanilla

I'm the sweltering heat, I put on my hat and walked around Tiong bahru in search for a good cup of coffee.

I found a cafe (Plain Vanilla) that was bountiful in flowers and picked a sweet spot under the shade but not completely shy of the sun. Ordered up a raspberry lime and chocolate cake enjoying it with sips of coffee. The coffee went well with the sweet cakes that ran through all the corners of my mouth. A delightful afternoon.

My favourite healthy snacks from Boxgreen is here again and for the month of June they got a really fruity mix. It is a change for me but I am definitely loving it. I wanted to enjoy them by the beach along the sandy coast. Got dressed in my Grana silk top and headed straight to the beach. I sat the box down in the sand and unwrapped the packaging, while the winds tried to drag my shirt along with it. The Grana shirt was really comfortable, I could practically feel the wind running through the tiny sinews of the top.  I went for the honey almonds with raisins first. It had such a cute description on it. It wrote Honey I 'm home! Loved that.

The MacRitchie Midnight was refreshing having a hint of luxurious dark chocolate in every bite. A great combination of assorted nuts and reasonably sweet cocoa.

The berries that came directly from USA were sweet was perfect for ending the day.

Hard rock hotel

The hard rock hotel at resort world has a swimming pool unlike any other. The infinity pool may be thousands of feet above ground but this swimming pool feels like having a beach in your own backyard. Half of the pool was made to look like a beach, which includes a nice sandy shore that remembers your footprints. On the other side of the pool, they have a pool bar that is perfect for having a snack after a long swim or playing in the pool. I had the classic fish and chips by the bar. It is pretty ironic how I am eating fish when they should probably be joining me in the pool. Well although the fish could not join me for a swim, it had a soft and fluffy texture and the crust had a nice crunch. I continued my swim but soon after, my stomach was grumbling once again. It was time I satisfied it once and for all. I went all out for a sinful buffet and demolished the ice creams as well. I retired for the night and gave my belly a good rest. The next morning, it was time to check out. There was one last thing I had to do. Room service! We ordered ourselves the pork ribs and the beef burger. The burger was pretty decent but the ribs were marvelous. The flesh was so succulent it came right off the bone! I would definitely not give this a miss and you should try it the next time you are there. Have a great week!
