Desserts is the last course that concludes a meal and I always have the tendency to keep the best for the last. I visited the Fat cat café after having a simple meal, looking to satisfy my sweet cravings. Fat cat is known for their unique desserts and intricate plating.

We had the faux passion fruit dessert and a lime mojito. The faux passion fruit dessert came in two parts. The first course made a mystical appearance, covered in a dome shape glass and fogged up with the smoke from the dry ice. Lifting up the lid allowing the smoke to slowly dissipate it revealed two chocolate balls. Taking a bite into it, passion fruit juice spilled out literally, it was hard to imagine how they managed to contain so much juice in those chocolate balls. It had a nice contrast so sweet and sour. Now, the second part of the passion fruit dessert. Another beautifully plated dish lays before us. On first sight, it looks a like a giant purple ball but on second thought, we realized that the ball actually symbolized a passion fruit. Cracking through the tough chocolate exterior, you will hit a jelly-like interior with great passion fruit flavor. The plate was decorated with sesame crumbs, coconut sherbet and drops of mint and basil sauce, which added texture and a fusion of flavours. Delicious!

The mojito was enclosed in a thin membrane that explodes at the slightest bite. A dessert that can actually be finished in a mouthful.

Also, you may have realized that I have been wearing the Brooklyn top from Belmto quite often. I can't find a reason not to love it, so please be prepared to see it on the blog quite often, haha!

Brother bird

Arab Street has been known for having some of Singapore’s best diners and cafes. Well, today I was not here for any of these fancy eateries, just looking for a simple soft serve. I walked leisurely around the area and found Brother Bird. Sure enough, the first thing that is probably in everyone’s mind is Sesame Street and I had the exact same thought too. The café was real cosy and generally a great place to chill. We settled in and had their matcha and cookie butter soft serve which was real good. The toppings complimented the soft serve well. The cookie butter had a great crunch and the matcha ice cream was real authentic, topped with red beans and flour balls. Satisfied, I continued touring the neighbourhood before heading back.

Have a lovely week! xx

Chicken up

Chicken up is a new fast food joint in my neighborhood with Korean origins. There has been a lot of hype about it and I decided it is time to check it out. We ordered the soy sauce and sweet sauce chicken along with their kimchi fries. The chicken were both done well but honestly the seasonings were way too overpowering. I felt jaded just taking the second bite. But their fries is really worth a second shot. It tastes really authentic and has great kimchi flavor.

After the filling meal, I really went out shopping in search for some home decor products but could not really find anything that I had wanted. I browsed some sites and was so glad I landed on Simons. Simons is renowned for their bedding collection, but they amazed me with their kitchen wares and lightings. But really what everyone needs, is something to brighten your house. Somewhere that you can feel warm and call it home. I found that perfect piece at Simons. I love their night on the dock lantern. It looks sophisticated and extends just the right amount of warmth for me to call it home. If you are looking for some great pieces to transform your house remember that lightings can greatly affect the way it looks. You can always try your local store or Simons just like I did.

There aren't many bars that sit atop a building in Singapore, but I managed to find one that offers drinks at a decent price.

Loof has a really interesting way to price their house pours. Loof happy hours start from 5pm to 5:59pm they go at $5 and from 6pm-6:59pm they go at $6. Sounds like a great bargain doesn't it, a great motivation for all to visit bars when we the sun has yet to set.

We were just looking for a casual drink and some snacks to go along with it. We ordered up two vodkas, one in lime and the other in raspberry. For snacks, we had their signature chili crab fries and mini sliders.

The drinks were refreshing and the chili crab fries was the bomb. The fries were hot, crispy and covered with a generous amount of chili cheese and strings of crab meat, absolutely delicious.

Overall the ambience was relaxing and just a great place to chill. I love the bright neon lights which gave it a nice touch. Being awarded the best rooftop bar in Singapore,

Have a lovely weekend!

The feeling of spicy Thai food teasing my taste buds never gets old. For our mains, I had a bowl of Thai pork noodles and Ben had fried rice. For our sides, we shared sesame fried chicken, pork balls and a Tom yum soup. The food was absolutely delicious and it has been some time since we had such good Thai food. Although the food was tasty, the heat and spices were getting to my throat. Thankful for the rose and lime cooler that was soothing we could beat the heat.

Today, I have with me my new bag from Lommer. The design is simplistic and ingenious. Made from several snap buttons and a tough strap, this bag can be easily assembled and deconstructed in a min, great for travel. The model I got is the Evaone beige and I am loving it.
