Weekdays can feel like a never ending nightmare especially when you are stuck to a stressful job and can hardly find the time to breathe. Sometimes, you may be on the verge of breaking down and your mind has drawn a blank.
It is hard times like this that we need to distress. Find what helps you relieve stress the best and go all out for it. For me, I seek relieve from food and I can never get bored of it because the variety is never ending. Another way that I love to release stress is going on shopping sprees. Although it is difficult to find time and money to do what we love in life all the time, we should pamper ourselves every once in a little while.
Loved all these photos, they look so yummy and you're making me want some! (especially that cake)
ReplyDeleteI know how that feels like, I've been through it before and I would never go back there
I really hope your job gets less stressful, or that you find a job you love and enjoy :)
To relieve stress I occupy myself with cooking or taking photos
Having a pamper session helps too :)

Food and shopping are definitely stress relievers for me as well. However, neither are good ways to cope with stress. I'm in the process of trying to redirect myself to hot tea, yoga, and meditation. Well, technically I haven't started doing that yet lol but that is one of my goals. But there is nothing wrong with treating yourself to some shopping every once in a while.

Ting, why must you make me so hungry and envious at the same time?! Gorgeous photography, now I just want to go out and have a nice meal but unfortunately I have exams to prepare for. The only thing relieving my stress is the comforting fact that it will all be over in three months!

You're a blogger after my own heart: shopping AND food! I love them both too. That cake and those dishes look delish.

Hope life becomes less stressful sooner rather than later... The food looks delicious! x
ReplyDeleteI definitely know what you mean about stress! Sometimes you just have to do something for yourself every once in awhile. All this good food looks like it'd make anyone feel better, though :)
ReplyDeleteHi, love the pics, super scrummy. I actually find baking relaxing - not necessarily getting that nights dinner on the table - but cooking something I don't HAVE to make. Like Cookies or a cake, in the summer I love making home made ice cream - you can make any combo of flavours you like and homemade ALWAYS tastes best!! Ooh & big bubble baths - not quick, gotta get outta the house in the morning baths/showers , but just letting the warm water and bubbles soak my cares away. Great thought provoking blog. In our 24/7 open all hours world, sometimes we just need to stop and like you say, just spend a little time relaxing. Sammie http://www.feastingisfun.com
