My kind of lovely day : 3D coffee, fries with awesome dips, ice-cream, shabu shabu

Time has passed since I last savoured good coffee on my palate. It was a long ride travelling to the ends of Singapore to grab this cup of coffee. Chock full of beans is renowned for making 3D coffees in your favourite cartoons. Overwhelmed by the selection of cartoon characters, I finally reached a decision to order two coffees in the bear and cat design. When the coffees were served, it took me a long time before I took my first sip. The cartoons were so adorable and it seemed hard to gulp them down. As the bear slowly submerged itself into the pool of coffee, I sunk my taste buds into the coffee. Sinfully finishing the cup of my coffee along with the cartoon characters, I was starting to feel hungry.

We walked around the area in search of food. I was craving for something that was fried and I was lucky to come across a café that specialised in fries. I could not wait for those piping hot fries to hit my stomach. We had a choice of 3 dips and we ordered the inferno cheese, wasabi and nacho cheese. I was really satisfied with lunch.

Leaving the café, something drew my attention. We realised that the neighbouring shop had a really quaint looking- rocking horse. I always had an interest in vintage items and I could not help but to take a closer look at the horse. It turns out that the rocking horse belong to an ice cream shop. Well, I guess a little ice cream would not hurt. I took my chocolate mint ice cream and rushed to sit on the horse. Although I felt like a kid, it was a quick trip down memory lane. While enjoying the ride, it started pouring. We were stuck at the ice cream shop for good and I continued rocking till the rain receded.

We warmed ourselves up and ended our day with a hot and steamy pot of shabu shabu. It was a really enjoyable day and I would not spend it any way else.
