Nothing was going to put a smile on my face but some berry ricotta hot cakes on a Saturday morning. The combination of sweet and refreshing strawberries, blueberries and raspberry on hot cakes was decadent. A sweet fluffy center and crispy edges could really brighten my day. Ben had his head hanging down for a pretty long time. He has been ogling and admiring his new hand stitched Goodwin Smith shoes. A nice classy pair of shoes handcrafted from premium Italian Parma leather with a mild glossy finish. Stylish yet casual, perfect with any jeans or pants. Still distracted by his new shoes, Ben ordered some Quesadillas for his breakfast. He usually likes savory food and a cup of coffee for his first meal. Our conversation for breakfast circled around his pair of new Goodwin Smith shoes. He was obsessed over his new pair of shoes complimenting its comfort. One thing I was sure about is that guys must really love their shoes!

Struggling with the humongous hot cake I figured it would be great to have it with a fruity drink. I got a cup of “taste like grapes”. It is a mixture of grapes, sweet basil and lemon. The drink looked really pretty but tasted more like blueberries than grapes. Maybe I was just berry overloaded from the hot cakes my taste buds have been dulled. Well it still had a good balance between sweet and sour. Breakfast was enjoyable but I knew that Ben was more than contented with his new pair shoes.
