Merry Xmas!

Christmas is finally here and the festive lights are all lighted up. It really gets me so hyped up and excited for the occasion. Singapore enjoys a tropical weather all year round but I wish I could experience some snow this year. To enjoy the festive mood ben and I went to gardens by the bay. I was fascinated by the light up they had at the entrance and it was enticing me to venture deeper into this christmas wonder land. Walking further in, there were many make shift huts and restaurants all prepared for the season. To get the christmas mood going, we got ourselves a cup of beer and an eclaire from the renowned dessert bar 2am. After enjoying the pastry and drink, we headed towards the open space that was releasing synthetic snow. Although it may not be real, I was satisfied just spending the moment with Ben. When we were done with playing in the snow, we continued to explore the rest of the place.

While walking, something caught my eye. It was a huge and beautifully decorated tent something that I have never seen before. Apparently, the tent has a 200 year old origin and was brought all the way from the middle east. It was stunning and I had to get myself in there. Turns out that it was a makeshift restaurant and I was so glad I found the place. It had a buffet style theme and I was hungry for more pastries. Ben and I shared a christmas pudding, a cake and also a glass of mulled wine. It was my first time trying the drink. It is made up of red wine simmered with oranges and cinnamon. I really love the hints of flavour in the wine and it really warms me up. It was definitely a great way to end the day with a glass of mulled wine.

Merry Xmas everyone!
