It was pouring heavily and Ben and I held hands as we ran to the nearest shelter we could find. After cleaning ourselves, we decided to browse the area. While walking down the lane of restaurants and cafes, there was a particular cafe that I was drawn too. It gave off a really homey feeling and it was the best place to go to wait for the cold rain to go by.
Greeted with a Christmas tree and the smell of coffee i found a cozy spot in Bucktile St cafe. They offered pastries in a new concept, like their blue velvet cake and plant tiramisu. I really enjoyed the tiramisu, although it is decorated to look like a plant, it is actually a tiramisu coated with Oreo crumbs. It had an interesting texture because of the extra crunch from the Oreos and I loved it. After enjoying the meal and watching the rain finally die down, it was time for me to head back. It was an unexpected but pleasant experience.
Awesome pictures!
