Awaiting the clock to strike 12 I watched Ben as he grew 22. I kissed him on his lips and wished him a happy birthday before turning in for the night. The itinerary has been planned out and I was eager to to put ticks on that checklist. When we were ready to set out, a heavy downpour came along, it seemed like a bad start and of all days it had to be his birthday. That did not deter us from heading to our destination and we just came cruising along. I wore a cap sleeve dress from
the kewl shop which was body hugging which showed my figure. The
dress was unique, made from good quality rayon and nylon which makes it stretchy enough to fit anyone like a glove. Miraculously the rain lessened as we reach the cafe and came to a halt in a natter of minutes. We left the umbrella in a communal storage area and went forward to order breakfast. Ben had a weird craving for fries and I was contented just having good old eggs benedict. We had sweet potato fries and truffle eggs benedict that morning. The fries was coated in sugar and dusted with cinnamon, it was a great dessert for breakfast but I was hoping for something more savory. The truffle eggs benedict was really scrumptious, I loved how they infused the truffle with the Hollandaise sauce. It was not a full breakfast but that was entirely part of the plan, what came after breakfast was a 3 course set lunch that we were going to pig ourselves out on.
Sear, was located in the heart of a business district on the 45th floor. It enjoyed a birds eyes view and the warmth of the sun. We ordered the salmon and foie gras for the appetizer. The foie gras melted like butter, rich and creamy. The salmon on the other hand was fresh, light and slightly smoked really delicious. For our mains we had a free range chicken and wagyu steak. The chicken was tender and juicy. I would say that it was the same for the wagyu steak but the portion was a tad small. Ending of the birthday lunch we had a mud cake. It was really creative when it came to desert, they used clumps of cocoa and cocoa powder to give a soil looking effect, truly a mud cake.
After lunch we had a lot of time on hands and Ben insisted that I had a haircut because I have been hesitant about the decision for a long time now. I was really glad I went for the haircut, I loved the results. After that we went to the seaside at Sentosa to have some seafood and cocktails.
We had the usual seafood platter we always love and Ben was happy eating it. We had a wicked Mojito that night and watched the fireworks that came from the performance afar. We enjoyed the breeze and talked about the day and our lives being happy about it, ending our celebration
Happy 22nd birthday my love:)
